THE HARD PART“Real-time fraud detection (facial recognition, liveness, document auth) on a live video call that still works at 70kbps for rural reach, at 280M+ requests a month.”
Video KYC is how Indian banks verify who you are over a video call instead of a branch visit. The platform runs real-time fraud checks during the call: facial recognition, document verification, and liveness detection, built to RBI compliance requirements where getting it wrong has real consequences.
ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Axis Bank, and Jio all run their VKYC on it.
The constraint I find most interesting is reach. The product works on connections as thin as 70kbps, because the customers who most need branchless onboarding are often in rural areas with the worst networks. It supports 11 regional languages for the same reason.
It has onboarded over 10 million customers. Automating the security checks cut manual intervention and customer acquisition costs while keeping call connection and completion rates high.
